Western, Eastern or in between, I am fascinated with the deployment of femininity as a control mechanism between the sexes and as a status delineator among women. This power expresses itself in body language and frequently is the subject of my work. .

Patterns from years past in the applied arts and architecture have always attracted me and I use them freely in my work. Our fixation with beauty runs like a stream throughout archeology and makes me wonder – “Is this an evolutionary trait unique to our species?”
